Client Overview
RealOnes is a mobile app designed to connect users with local Black-owned businesses
across various industries, making it easy for individuals to discover and support businesses
in their community.
The Challenge
GBA, the company behind RealOnes, initially developed the app to provide users with an
intuitive platform to find Black-owned businesses. As the app gained traction, GBA wanted to
enhance its functionality and design in a second phase to improve the user experience and
expand its features. To achieve this, they needed a partner capable of collaborating with
their internal teams to elevate the app.
The Solution
WilTekk was brought on by GBA to work alongside their existing developers and designers
on phase two of the RealOnes app. We contributed to both design and development
enhancements, ensuring a smooth and cohesive upgrade. Our team worked to improve the
app’s search functionality, optimize user navigation, and launch new features that broadened
the app’s capabilities.
The Results
Through our collaboration with GBA, the RealOnes app now offers a more refined and
powerful user experience. The enhanced version of the app provides seamless navigation,
robust search options, and a fresh design that highlights Black-owned businesses in the best
light. These improvements have driven higher engagement, helping RealOnes further its
mission of fostering support for Black-owned businesses across communities.
